Skycom India
A video-driven showcase site for a 3D visualization studio's mall and property walkthroughs.
Overview
Skycom India's site is a corporate showcase built around a full-viewport hero video and a card-based project grid, linking out to dedicated per-property pages. Each property page (Citywalk, Elegante Mall, Promenade, Vegas) runs its own sequence of numbered project videos, letting visitors step through several 3D/CGI walkthrough renders for that specific mall or commercial space.
The challenge
Video-first sites are heavy: multiple properties each with several videos need to feel instant rather than like a loading screen. The site had to sequence video loading (hero first, then cards) and manage a slide-out sidebar and per-property navigation without a framework, in plain HTML/CSS/JS.
What I built
- Full-viewport hero video with a card grid of property previews
- Per-property gallery pages (Citywalk, Elegante Mall, Promenade, Vegas) with numbered project sequences
- Prioritised video loading — hero video first, then card videos in parallel — with loading-state placeholders
- Slide-out sidebar navigation with overlay and escape-to-close

Prioritised video loading
The hero video loads first and resolves before card videos begin loading in parallel, so the page feels responsive instead of stalling on the heaviest asset.
No framework, by design
Built in plain HTML/CSS/JS rather than a framework — appropriate for a small, mostly-static video showcase with a handful of pages.
